Submersible Drilling Rig (SDR)

Purpose-built, cost-effective drilling for large-bore subsea anchor holes.

To support anchor deployment and complex subsea installation, Raptor Anchoring utilises an innovative Submersible Drilling Rig (SDR): an in-house designed and purpose-built, cost-effective drilling solution capable of handling large-bore subsea anchor holes from surface-controlled platforms or vessels.

This drilling technology expands Raptor’s anchoring capability, enabling total anchoring solutions for marine infrastructure, floating offshore systems, and subsea installations.

Key attributes

  • Operates in depths up to 90 m
  • Drills anchor holes up to ~800 mm diameter
  • Self-levelling and stabilising systems
  • Containerised and transportable design for global deployment
  • Designed for use in high tidal flow sites
  • No requirement for commercial divers or ROVs
